"Because it knows how to hold still. The moon moves. The bats move. Even the house over there — see the windows? They blink. But this tree? This tree stays. So I stay. Wanna play?"

"The one where you try to find me. And I try to let you. The moon makes it fair. It lights up everything except the spots I pick."
